The Magpie Nest UK, like so many small businesses today, grew from an idea started during the dreaded Covid.
Our first sale was a Green Man plaque which is shown on our home page.
A friend saw the plaque at our place and asked us if we could get her one. That one order grew to over 50 requests for the little plaque in the coming months and our ‘customers’ started asking us for more items. This led us to begin to hunt for ‘interesting’  things that were ‘ a little bit different’.
This was the beginning of our shop. The Magpie Nest UK is essentially us, who, like our name sake the black and white bird, carefully spend time seeking out bright, shiny things that catch our beady eye .
We are both very interested in Pagan, Heathen and Wiccan themes, with a real sense of the practices and rituals of the ‘old ways’.
From that one small Green Man Plaque we have gathered a wide variety of items relating to those themes. We are both incredibly passionate about the old ways which stem from our family history’s and two cultures combining together.

One of us is from the West  Country here in the UK, she’ll happily declare, given any opportunity she can, that she has traced her family history back to the Wessex of the 1200s while the other quieter, more laid back member of the team comes from Romania with its rich history, incredibly beautiful rivers combined with awe inspiring forests and the mysterious Carpathian mountains. These natural wonders are sure to awaken deep spiritual sensations to anyone who visits.

The West meets East combination comes together to form what is the The Magpie Nest UK.
We both sincerely hope that you find something a little bit different , something unusual that resonates with your sense of individualism and Spiritual journey.
